Description
The Seerah timeline is a unique interactive display of the life of the Prophet Muhammad in the form of two concisely designed timelines. To enhance the learning experience, the timelines require you to place the Seerah events in order. The timelines have been sectioned into phases within each period in order to ease the understanding of the events. The Makki and Madani period timelines are based upon classical Arabic sources.
Contents
2 timelines (each 1m long and 20cm in height) covering the Makki and Madani periods.
2 events sticker sets along with the respective solution stickers.
Suggested Uses
For each period, the user should read initially through all the events stickers, acquainting themselves with the events during that period. Then by using the indications in the stickers, the events should be placed (not stuck) in chronological order on the timeline. The phase headings on each of the timelines may also be used to help during this process.
The order should then be compared to the solutions stickers. After any necessary changes, the events sticker should then be stuck into the correct position.
If the resource is being used in a group, distribute the event stickers amongst the group members and display the blank timelines. Ask each group member to read out their stickers to the rest of the group. Ask the group to suggest in which order to place the events. Work with the suggestions, by placing (not sticking) them on the timeline. Ask the group to reconsider the order of the events if necessary until the correct solutions are reached. Then ask each group member to stick their events onto the timeline. |
